Crowne Plaza Kansas City Downtown by IHG

Great location, especially when attending an event at the Convention Center. Everyone was very kind and accommodating. Hotel was clean and easily accessible. Rooms were clean and updated, included fridge. Microwaves were only accessible on some floors, not in every room. They came and cleaned everyday, taking trash and providing you with fresh towels, but you could opt out for a greener stay. First night the shower clogged and the water was like warm at best…called and let them know and they immediately fixed the issue.

The rooms were very clean and the hotel is in a great location! I would recommend staying here! To park in the hotel parking you do have to pay $30 extra, which was a bit disappointing, I didn't know that at the time of booking. The in house restaurant is pretty pricey but the food was really good.

I'm writing especially because of the excellent service. Xochilt G and the housekeeping team were outstanding, responsive, and available to clean my room first thing in the morning (notable because even nice hotels are so increasingly under-staffed that cleaning happens in the afternoon). In addition, when I forgot some expensive items in my room Xochilt found them, and Evelyn M made sure they were mailed back. Front desk and restaurant staff were equally kind and responsive. My only complaint is that there were no microwaves in any of the rooms.
