Crowne Plaza London Gatwick Airport by IHG

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had worldwide! The staff are super nice and go above and beyond, the hotel is super clean and well maintained, the breakfast buffet is everything you could ever ask for! Lots of cabin crew here, which means it must be good. I called the hotel quite late to get instructions to the shuttle- which ended up being really easy to find at South Terminal (bus stop 9 if I remember) and £5 one way. My plug in the bath wasn’t working so they allowed me to use a bath further down the hall. I did hear some stomping in the early morning but nothing too troubling - and I wasn’t disturbed by planes. My room was recently renovated and spacious (would recommend the superior rooms) thanks to the staff of Crowne Plaza for making the end of my trip so enjoyable!

I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone at the hotel. Customer service was one of the best I’ve seen. All employees were super attentive, friendly and professional at all times. Even when some guests were rude the staff smiled and were kind in turn. Super impressed😃. Room was clean and had AC which was amazing as it was super 🥵 hot when i visited. They have free water bottles and a welcome fruit plate waiting in your room. Housekeeping was amazing. If i asked for water they did not hesitate to bring me a few bottles which i appreciated a lot. They give you disposable slippers to use in the room and a robe as well. Love that! Front desk has top notch customer service. Got to the hotel before check in and they have a service where you can leave your bags in a locked room and you can tour the city until you’re able to check in. Never seen that before and definitely appreciated as we were able to go have lunch without lugging heavy luggage around😂😂 Breakfast was very good. So many options catering to different tastes. And you can order from the breakfast menu at no additional cost as well. Restaurant at the hotel is pretty good and reasonably priced. Service is very good. Impressive. You can definitely see that customer service is something that is valued and is top priority! Hotel has a bus stop right outside the hotel which was very convenient and easy access to downtown which was nice. Overall my stay was awesome and i loved every minute of my visit. Overall, it was an agreeable stay. The staff were incredibly friendly. Our rooms were exactly what we requested and ready by the stated check-in time. The team at the front desk was absolutely PERFECT. We had dinner at the hotel, and the service staff there was a bit slow and unresponsive. In fact, at one point, I stood waving both my hands back and forth right in front of our server, but he was so focused on the soccer game being televised, that he looked right through me. The bartender had to call him by name to get his attention. But everything else was fine. Nothing particularly great about the hotel, but nothing bad either. It's a good night's rest.
