Crowne Plaza Melbourne by IHG

About 4 weeks ago, my wife and I recently stayed at this hotel. We were really happy with the way that the front desk helped us after being in airports for over 25 hours. We also liked the location of the hotel. We found the room to be quiet, clean and decent.

Thanks to all staff at crown for making my stay so enjoyable and for the great gesture to make my special day memorable with the birthday surprise on my arrival. I loved every minute of my stay and staff was very helpful and amazing. Also the location is amazing as it’s so close crown casino. I would like to thanks for upgrading my room to the river view and late checkout was again one of the added perks I enjoyed.

No choice to give any less than one star else I would have given a negative rating. I travel due to work at least few times a month and have stayed in various hotels but this is by far the worst place I’ve ever been too. The entrance itself is so disappointing as there’s no eye contact or anyone to acknowledge you. Then reception staff is full of rude people who are doing a huge favour to others by being there. You get to the room just to find that the room ends before it starts. No water, no toothbrush and I asked the reception to provide some water, the rudest reply was you come down to reception to buy a bottle for $2.50 or it will cost you $6 for room service. I had to order some ice over the phone as there was no option of an ice dispenser or even an ice jug, they made me wait for 48 minutes for that. This is just a few examples of the horrible service I got here and I have a list of such things. Seriously Crowne plaza, get your act together or downgrade to a 2 star motel where people won’t expect a 4 star experience and your staff won’t have to work hard. An absolute nightmare. Please save yourself from this place and rather go to any other hotel.
