Crowne Plaza Monterrey by IHG

There was a water leak from the air conditioner as soon as we checked in. They came and fixed it, but it smelled a bit from the leaking water afterward. The room is clean, but the bathroom is a bit dated. They have "new" tvs. Installed back in March, apparently, but absolutely none of them are configured? We are staying in two separate rooms and neither work. We asked to get them configured, and they said no one was available to do so. What's the point in buying smart tvs that aren't even connected to the internet months after you installed them??? Only a couple of cable channels and all of which are in spanish even if you select the english audio preference. So basically, all you are getting at this hotel is a bed and bathroom and a few other amenities. I'll update further as the stay goes, and I view more of the hotel. For now, it's a definite 3 stars from me

Our overall experience was disappointing on this visit and probably out last. The breakfast buffet was completely out of food one hour before closing. When I brought this to the manager’s attention, his response was, “Eat what we have out,” and he simply offered to make it complimentary. The food that remained was dry, and about 60% of the chafing dishes were empty. In addition, the cleaning staff knocked on our door every morning before 8:00 a.m. to ask when they should return to clean. There was no “Do Not Disturb” sign available, so we were forced to wake up early each day. To make matters worse, the elevators broke down on Friday night, causing a major inconvenience for guests. Unfortunately, these issues made our stay far less enjoyable than expected.

I enjoyed my stay here, however there are many things to be improved. The room was half clean, also the lock of my rooms was basically broken, maybe the previous guest simply slammed the door and it completely broke the lock, also you can hear the noise from outside and the restaurant even at the 8th floor. I loved the lounge with fresh fruit-infused water and cookies. I think is a beautiful building, but it is pricey, so I would expect better condition for the rooms
