I stayed here with my wife and 2 sons recently and I was impressed. The hotel is ideally situated and well-appointed. The rooms are spacious and clean. We had a room with access to the lounge and the service in there was first class from Sally. Thank you. The gym and spa were also good and I used the latter on Sunday morning.

Stayed in this hotel twice now and would highly recommend. Staff are excellent! Had a very small booking issue on arrival and the reception staff sorted it very quickly. The rooms are lovely, one of the best beds ive slept in at a hotel! Food was excellent (although the sausage and mash i wouldn't recommend, small portion and not the best sausage). I also had room service and couldn't be happier. Will be returning!

Rooms are a decent size, we stayed here for a wedding at the weekend and it was spot on throughout the day, couldn’t fault the staff at all. Very polite, Ian at the gin bar is really nice and funny. We had no problems with our stay. The rooms had air conditioning which was a god send as it was the hottest day of the year and we were all melting. We had room 207 and it was clean and tidy, had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in Newcastle. Only downside was the pool, everyone came out with stinging eyes so maybe the chemical levels are a bit high. Drink and food prices are what you would expect from a hotel but it’s so close to the city centre you really don’t need to eat at the hotel.
