Crowne Hotel Butterworth Penang. What a wonderful experience. Checkin 3/7/2025 Checkout 6/7/2025. 4 rooms. Room numbers : 2015,2016,2017 & 2018 From the moment we arrived, Ms. Charlotte made sure we felt welcome and well taken care of. Check-in was smooth, and she ensured our requests were attended to without any fuss. We booked four rooms for our family and were given the best rates, which we truly appreciated, along with a late checkout that allowed us to leave at a comfortable pace. The reception lobby on the 8th floor is spacious and bright, with a coffee house attached that offers a wonderful view of the surroundings. It’s a lovely spot to relax and chill while waiting for check-in or winding down in the evening. At the entrance on the first level, we were pleasantly surprised to find a Zus Coffee, which was a nice touch for a quick coffee grab before heading out. The infinity pool is one of the highlights of this hotel. The view from the pool is stunning, especially during sunset, and it became a favourite spot for our family to relax and unwind. The pool area was well maintained, with clean towels readily available and attentive staff around if we needed anything. Housekeeping deserves special mention. Each time we requested to have our rooms made up, we were pleasantly surprised to find towel swans waiting for us, which added a thoughtful touch that made us smile. Mr. Saidur and Mr. Badol took the time to ensure our rooms were spotless, our water bottles and toiletries were replenished, and they even checked if we needed extra amenities. It is rare to see such consistent care and attention in housekeeping, and it made our stay even more comfortable. The coffeehouse team also left a positive impression. Mr. Syed Aqil was very attentive, ensuring our drinks and meals were served promptly and checking in to see if we needed anything else. The service felt warm and genuine, and we appreciated how he made sure our family, including the elderly and children, were comfortable during our meals. If there is one area that could use improvement, it would be the taste and variety of the food. While the presentation was good and the portions were generous, we felt that the flavours could be enhanced to match the overall high standards of the hotel. We hope the management will consider reviewing the kitchen’s offerings, as this would truly complete the guest experience. Overall, we could not have asked for more. From the warm hospitality and comfortable rooms to the beautiful pool and attentive staff, our stay was memorable. We look forward to returning on our next trip to Penang and will happily recommend Crowne Hotel Butterworth to family and friends. Thank you for making our family getaway special.

Though I still have one night left after 3 wonderful days, I know it will be hard to leave. Tajamul Islam from housekeeping went above and beyond making my bed perfect, ensuring everything was spotless and even asking if I needed anything else. His attention to detail and genuine care truly stood out and I would rate his service as 5-star. I also appreciated Mr. Kevin the manager on duty, who took the time to approach me during breakfast and inquire about my experience. His approach showed great care and helped enhance my stay. Additionally, one of your young staff members made me the best teh tarik I've had in Penang. At just 19 years old, he was not only polite but displayed impressive skill. Lastly, your hotel’s stunning interior and attentive service reflect the high standards of an international brand. I will gladly recommend this hotel to others and look forward to returning. We stayed at Crowne Plaza for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is new, modern, and very clean. From the guards to the front desk to housekeeping, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Special thanks to Sarah at the lobby who handled our check-in smoothly and with a warm smile. Our sea-view rooms offered a stunning view of Penang Island’s skyline, especially beautiful at night. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and well-maintained. Breakfast was included in our stay, and the buffet spread was good, with wide variety of options, including local dishes – perfect if you enjoy trying something new when you travel. The hotel itself is located in a quiet, clean, and newly developed area, though there isn’t much to explore directly around it. That said, we were happy to be away from the busier parts of the island. After visiting George Town, we were honestly relieved we chose to stay here – it felt much more relaxing and clean, and the view was unbeatable. The ferry station is just about 20-minute walk, making it easy to reach the island when needed. Highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful stay with great service and views!
