Crowne Plaza Shanghai Nanjing Road by IHG

Located along the streets of Nanjing Road where you get to experience the Shanghai as it is. Walking distance to the bund and plenty of shopping places as well as eateries. Overall, the hotel is clean and the service staff can speak good English. The design of the room is also modern and with a good use of space. I've had the best rest in this hotel in all my travels.

Excellent location along Nanjing road, lots of food and shopping places just at the doorstep. The room furnishing was a bit old, but it was spacious and clean. Service was great.

Good location, but that is it. When it comes to Crowne Plaza standards, this one does not raise up to the them. It’s an old hotel, stylish, yet it needs modernization. Everything in the hotel is old, even in the rooms. When we arrived we were welcomed by a huge cockroach wandering through the lobby while the receptionist was looking at it. When you want to drink a coffee at the lobby bar, the staff tells you you can’t drink it at the table you are sitting at because it was reserved (the bar was empty, 10am). Conrad Hotel right next to it is far much better, stayed there as well during my trip.
