A slightly older hotel with an average “Crowne Plaza Standard” - the rooms and facilities were exactly as expected, nothing fancy, but fulfilling their needs. The staff was very distant, not as friendly as one would expect in an IHG hotel. The noise isolation is quite bad, every time someone closes a door outside on the corridor in the middle do the night you get awake. Same with people talking loudly on the corridor, every word can be heard. The typical “welcome drink” is offered, but the choices are quite limited, also far below the standard of other hotels of the group. The hotel is located next to a shopping mall, but many shops are closed there and it’s more like a leftover of what was once a trendy Shanghai location. The entrance to the subway “Zhenbei Road” is just a few minutes away, so the hotel can be easily reached by public transportation.

Honestly the nicest hotel room we've stayed in. Facilities were perfect for our family. The lady who cleaned our room was great.. found the metro great and easy as well. The poor mark was for breakfast. Hard to mess up a continental breakfast but is was very poor. Horrible fake juice. Tinned fruit. Not great coffee and no tea option. In China!!!. Cheap nasty set yoghurt. Better off to go to the supermarket. Oh and the poor staff in the foyer were frozen. As were we at the bar.. Arctic conditions. Staff wore coats over their uniform the poor things.. we were there for a week. Didn't change. But it's not for Europeans in fairness. Just don't take the breakfast option and bring your own tea!! Because we thought the rest was great..
