Crowne Plaza Shanghai Xiayang Lake by IHG

I have stayed in this hotel for many business travels. This time I was lucky to be offered a room facing the lake. Through the bacony I enjoyed very much the lake view. Room was comfortable and tidy, but the tv was too old that it kept on turning on and off. I used their catering room service to order a beef burger. Beef was juicy. Vegetable and tomato were fresh enough. Absolutely no complaint.

I stayed here many times. Modern, roomy, great staff, great breakfast. Nicely situated to grocery stores. Amazing value for money. I would recommend this place and would definitely stay there again. It has an air of luxury that I never experienced in other 4 star hotels. The western food they served in the bar certainly kept us going!

Average-good hotel. There are multiple buildings (3 or 4). One section of the hotel (the one you see in all the pictures) is beautiful, but if you don't have a high IHG Member Status or if you don't want to pay extra, be prepared to be in another section (that nobody shows in the pictures) which has pretty much the same o.k. rooms but is much much less beautiful. I stayed there 3 weeks and it was really just 3 / 5 stars, not more.
