Crowne Plaza Sofia an IHG Hotel

I highly recommend the Crowne Plaza in Sofia. We stayed in the Executive Suite (Room 525) on February 18, 2025. First and foremost, the staff at the reception were exceptionally warm, courteous, and friendly (although I couldn’t quite spell the receptionist's Bulgarian name). He provided us with comprehensive check-in information, making the process seamless. All the hotel staff greeted us with genuine smiles and demonstrated a sincere concern for the guests' well-being. The room was well-equipped and remarkably clean (surprisingly so), and I would like to extend my gratitude to the housekeeping staff for their excellent service. While there are many 5-star hotels around the world, the Crowne Plaza in Sofia offers a unique warmth that feels like home. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone traveling to Sofia.

The customer service is one of the best, selfishly because I got a free upgrade to a suite on a top floor. The restaurant on the ground floor was really good too. I got the authentic meat platter and It made both my stomach and heart full.

Stayed here before the renovation, when it used to be a Holiday Inn. Was so good, we wanted to come back on sunsequent visits, but had to wait for the renovations to be done. Hotel has been done up to a high standard. Large foyer and multiple bars and restaurants. Room was very big, with a comfortable bed. Aircon was lovely and in room facilities were all top notch. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room service was quick and efficient. Food was very good also. 1 star removed from "rooms" review as it was quite easy to leave the door incompletely closed. Location is pretty much on the business park, so great for us to walk into our local office. Cya again soon Crowne Plaza!
