My husband and I stayed in an ocean view room and, as always, we were extremely satisfied with our experience. The environment is clean and well-maintained, and waking up to the view from the balcony in the morning is incredibly relaxing. We also love the hotel’s seafood buffet on weekends. This time, we stayed during a weekday, Danny at the reception provided excellent service. We had accidentally booked the wrong room type, but he was efficient and patient in helping us change to the room we wanted. Without his assistance, our trip wouldn’t have been nearly as perfect. We highly recommend Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay on the Gold Coast!

After booking at crown plaza we ended up reading the reviews and got nervous about our stay, but we went in with an open mind, and we are glad we did. The staff were friendly and helpful, when we got to our room we were pleasantly surprised. We had an ocean and river view, the room was really nice, the bathroom does need a bit of a more modern upgrade but it was nice. The buffet breakfast was good, the scrambled eggs were really creamy. The only minor negatives would be the water in shower, it kept going from hot to cold so made showering abit difficult and the parking garage was a little abit smelly. The tram and servo right across the road was great. Overall it was a really nice stay, especially waking up to the sound of the ocean and the kookaburras

My stay was not enjoyable, especially when it came to breakfast. Upon check-in, we were recommended to prepay for breakfast for three days. However, since we were on vacation, we didn’t want to wake up early every day or eat the same food for three mornings in a row. Also, we weren’t sure how much variety the breakfast would offer. So, we only booked breakfast for the first day. When we arrived for breakfast, we were told there was no booking. It took the staff around ten minutes to verify and sort out this minor issue. Afterward, we were once again encouraged to book breakfast for all three days. When I insisted that we only needed it for one day—especially after seeing the very limited food options and small selection of fruit—the staff clearly seemed unhappy, possibly because I was the only adult there with my baby. While I was helping my baby get some fruit, I came back to find our entire plate of food had been cleared away. I don’t understand what was going through the staff member’s mind—our personal belongings were still on the table, clearly indicating we were not finished. Whether intentional or not, I find this level of service disappointing. For a chain hotel, I can understand if the rooms are old and the facilities aren’t perfect with a fair price. But poor service is hard to accept. We came here in good spirits hoping to enjoy our holiday, and honestly, giving three stars is already generous.
