Absolutely enchanting boutique charm in the heart of the city. From the moment you step in, you sense the personality: former convent roots, eye-catching retro details, and playful elegance that doesn’t feel pretentious—it just feels alive. The rooms blend heritage and bold contemporary style—velvety textures, patterned tiles, dramatic windows—and that comfy bed makes it hard to leave. The honour bar/lounge is a delightful highlight: self-serve wines, craft spirits, and snacks that feel caring and considered. The rooftop terrace, with olive-tree potted calm and skyline views, offers a perfect sanctuary at any hour—morning coffee or evening gin. Staff service strikes the perfect balance: professional, genuinely welcoming, and discreetly attentive. Breakfast pastries and fruit are simple but fresh, served in a relaxed setting that sets a calm, elegant tone to your morning—no over-the-top formality, just warmth. Consistency is key here—every guest report reflects sparkle in every detail: pristine rooms, thoughtful extras, and rooms that feel bespoke. Complaints are rare and fleeting; most visitors glow as much as the décor.

I stayed here during a long weekend after a work trip in Canberra (referred by a friend who had stayed) and could not recommend it more. It is so clean, sleek, and had all of the amenities you could want. The staff were lovely, the morning pastries, espresso machine and honour bar were awesome to have. The public spaces including the roof were amazing, as was the room. It felt so luxurious. The location was also amazing. Surry Hills was super walkable, tons of good restaurants, and centrally located enough to get quickly to the coast or walk just about anywhere in the city. I hope to come back again for another visit and literally could not recommend it more. Such a great trip

Cannot rate this gorgeous hotel highly enough. We have stayed at Crytabrook before, but this hotel definitely is on top. From personally being walked up to our room, complimentary champagne for our anniversary on arrival and the personal welcome note. The the tasty complimentary fresh pastries and coffee station every morning was fabulous and the honour bar and pamper station is such a great idea. The service was fantastic! What a luxury hotel, with the most personal touches so thought out for guests. Will definitely be back, Thankyou!
