Impressive hotel that feels like an Opera House with massive ceiling and ornament features in central lobby. Dinner buffet is excellent with tasty options. Outdoor area overlooking Union Buildings is perfect space, as is the comfy indoor bar. Staff are friendly and professional. There is good room cleanliness with quality mattress/pillows and working space. Uber to nearby areas not very expensive. Overall a great option if you admire grand interior design and views of the Union Buildings

Located opposite the iconic Union Buildings in Pretoria with spectacular views. The staff is genuinely friendly, the kind of friendliness that comes naturally. I have held two conference events at the venue. From checking in, one is given royalty treatment like you are the only guest. The complimentary welcome gift was out of this world! The hotel staff went out of their way to ensure they meet every satisfaction. The control of the parking lot is still manual and paper based. It would do them a lot of good to go digital like scanning the ID and car registration.

Formerly the Sheraton the hotel has undergone a rebranding and presumably a change of ownership as it is no longer part of the Marriott stable. Same beautiful grand hotel with well appointed rooms, same friendly and helpful staff and lovely breakfasts and buffet meals. A rose by any other name...
