Curra Homestead Maleny

Our large group of girl friends spent three wonderful nights at Curra Homestead in September and what a perfect time to be there. Stunning scenery on your walks, a beautiful restful outlook from the house, perfect aspect for those tricky yoga poses, sundowners by the outdoor fire pit, fabulous cooking facilities, relaxing spaces for winding down... and this place is fast becoming self sufficient with the friendly chickens, the orchard and cattle grazing in the yards - do yourselves a favour and book yourselves a few days “retreat”. This beautifully appointed homestead offers a tranquil mountain escape. Set in lush gardens, the property caters for up to 12 people with five stylish bedrooms, modern bathrooms and ensuites, a large well-stocked kitchen and a generous lounge and dining room leading onto an expansive deck with outside dining and seating. The homestead which is set back from the road and accessed by an agapanthus lined driveway is superbly maintained with many extra features to make guests feel comfortable and welcome. We enjoyed a weekend there with friends and spent a memorable afternoon walking in the gorgeous garden admiring the camellias, hydrangeas and fruit trees and visiting the chickens before relaxing on the deck for sunset drinks. The homestead is ideal for a stay in any season as it is air-conditioned or can be opened up when the weather is warm and becomes a cosy retreat with comfortable sofas, rugs and a fire in the cooler months. There's plenty of parking and storage. A truly wonderful experience to share with family and friends.

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing weekend at Curra Homestead. Beautiful setting and the house was spotlessly clean. Wonderful, friendly hosts. Definitely recommend.
