Absolutely fantastic ! We've stayed at apt at Viale Certosa, and host of Emanuela was absolutely outstanding! She's a star and looked after us very well. Room was clean and well prepared. Highly recommend!
It was acceptable. The shower drain didn't drain well and water came into our room a bit because the shower is poorly designed. The room is small. The bathroom does not have adequate counter space. The thermostat had some energy saving feature that kept resetting the air conditioning to cool only to 25C, causing me to wake up too warm multiple times.
Great location and the whole apartment is clean, but the setup made it difficult to get comfortable. Room 1 is tiny. Two people with luggage made it difficult to move around as there is nowhere to put anything and you have to be able to move around the bed. The shower is on 1 side and the toilet is on the other. The communication with whoever is in charge is fine through WhatsApp but nobody responds to questions. We had neighbors that kept me up until 2am or so with loud talking and laughter. The tracks are also noisy every time a train comes by. The shower has almost no lighting and the floor is poorly designed so it leaks into the room. There is a shared living room/ kitchen with a mini fridge and that area is well kept, but the fridge is way too small to be shared between 5 rooms, not that I want to leave anything I'm going to eat where strangers can get to it when I'm not around. The TV with YouTube and Netflix (if you have your own account to log into) was nice to help drown out all the noise for a while. The A/C also kept turning itself off. This was fine while we're out during the day, but it got really got at night when it got too warm. We did enjoy the location. It's fairly close to the Duomo and there were plenty of restaurants around. The grocery store in the same block was also very convenient. The place felt safe with multiple locked doors to get through. I could've easily lived with everything, but the noise coming through the walls all night drove me nuts.
