Dakota Dunes Resort

The hotel was clean, the room was spacious, the bed linen was fresh, and all necessary amenities were provided. Nothing extraordinary, but everything was as expected. The downside was noticeable dust on many horizontal surfaces in the room. For CAD 230 per night, I would expect more attention to cleaning. Please pay more attention to dusting horizontal surfaces in the rooms — such as wardrobes, picture frames, curtain rods, mirrors, above the bed, etc. I'll come again in 2026 because there will also be a SPA sector 🎉

The resort is nice, rooms spacious with a nice view of the golf course. My biggest and only complaint is the staff isn’t very friendly/hospitable. They don’t go out and beyond to make your stay special and just aren’t very friendly. For a destination resort I’d expect a little more but still worth the trip.

There doesn’t seem to be insulation in the walls. Very noisy. Can hear water running down the pipes, noise from the hallway and other rooms. The AC unit is terribly noisy. There’s no door on the bathroom. If someone opens the room door and you are in the shower, everyone gets a look. The mattress cover was soiled and the duvet had holes in it. Overall cleanliness was questionable. No available luggage carts. The elevators are slow and shaky. Not what I call a resort experience.
