Lovely hotel in a beautiful location! The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. My friend forgot his phone in a car of someone who had given us a ride to Hundorp, and the folks at the hotel went absolutely out of their way trying to find the car owner based on our very vague description. We grabbed a coffee and cake (delicious!) at the hotel's restaurant, and just a few minutes later they had really found the guy who had our phone! What could have been a disaster for our vacation was turned into a lovely evening - and a fun anecdote - by the wonderful staff at Dale-Gudbrands gard. Highly recommended.

Conveniently located on the E6. The room was spacious and a good price for bed and breakfast. The breakfast selection was good with bread, cold meats, cheese, fruits, tea/coffee, and freshly prepared bacon and eggs. Beautiful gardens and surrounding area. Highly recommended for a stop! Lots of pamphlets about activities in the area available at reception.

This hotel sits in a very nice quiet surrounding in an historical building. Unfortunately, we found the standard lacking compared to the hefty prices. The rooms are older and not very comfortable. We had booked our stay for 2 adults and 2 kids but when we arrived our room only had three beds (one single bunk bed on top of double bed). The staff seemed to not know what our booking was for but helped make one more bed from a foldable couch. For almost 3000 NOK per night, I would not have expected to sleep in bunk beds. Aslo, the top bunk bed had no protective railing so it was unsafe for a child to sleep in, which the staff could not help with. They offer a fixed menu of 3 courses in the restaurant which we had. They were nice to accommodate some kids friendly option. The food was OK but a bit uninspiring and bland (soup, salmon and some cooked vegetables, bad chocolate mousse). The menu felt outdated. We were surprised by the bill of almost 2000 NOK for the food, with only soft drinks (no alcohol). It should be mentioned that the place was completely deserted on a weekend in July, running only with a skeleton crew. Had the place been affordable it could have been a decent experience but the clear mismatch between what they charge and the standard means I can not recommend this place.
