My family & I really had a great time throughout our stay here. The customer service is great. Breakfast buffet is delicious with wide selection (My son loves the pastries)! And most importantly we really had a quiet and peaceful stay here. The view, ambience and environment is amazing. We will come back here again.

Staff is friendly & helpful. room is clean & spacious, ours is connecting room as it is the family type. Location is good for those who seek for tranquility, about half hour from Kuching city. clean beach just adjacent to the resort & free from sand fly at this time of the year. sunset view is spectacular. my kids love the pool with water slide as well mini playground nearby.. complimentary breakfast menu is accepted but not on par as 5 star resort as i expected with wide variety of option. Damai Central about 10 minutes walk. there's a bird nest & droppings on building need to taken care of as this is an eye sore & lead to bio-hazard. overall stay is good

Our recent stay at Damai Resort was a mix of positive and negative experiences, with several areas that require attention and improvement. Staff & Service The staff were courteous and made genuine efforts to assist wherever possible. However, it was evident that they lacked the authority to make executive decisions, often needing to consult supervisors for even minor issues. This slowed down service and created unnecessary delays. Cleanliness & Facilities The condition of the public toilets within the resort was unacceptable. They appeared to be poorly maintained, with no evidence of regular cleaning or refreshing. This is not in line with the standards expected of a 5-star establishment. The spa facility was unavailable throughout our stay due to staffing issues. One staff member had left and another was on maternity leave. When queried, the team could not provide a timeline for reopening, stating it had been closed for an extended period. This lack of transparency and planning is disappointing. Room Amenities Basic amenities in the room were minimal. Only one shampoo and bath soap were provided, with no conditioner included. We were informed that conditioner is reserved for suites and higher-end rooms, which seems unreasonable for a resort of this caliber. Dining Experience The food offered at the resort was average, lacking variety and authenticity. A greater emphasis on local dishes would enhance the dining experience and reflect the cultural richness of the region. For those without a car it will be difficult to go out to get food, thus this should be an emphasis for the hotel to ensure food provided is top class Recreational Areas The pool was well-suited for children, which we appreciated. The beach was beautiful and well-maintained, offering a pleasant outdoor experience. Room Condition Despite claims of recent renovations, the rooms felt dated and in need of further upgrades to meet modern expectations. The Tv channels were great though, plenty of movie selection and loved that it was seemless. One of the plus points While there were some enjoyable aspects of our stay, the resort falls short in several key areas. These are largely easy fixes that, if addressed by management, could significantly improve guest satisfaction and uphold the standards expected of a 5-star property.
