Damas International Hotel

Reservation and check in was easy. Front desk workers were nice & they could speak English. Room was very clean, very spacious, beds were comfortable & decent sized & nice view (although right now the building across the street is under construction). The gym was decent as well. Appreciated having a supply of bottled water replenished to my room every day, and they were quick to bring things if I called for it (like more toilet paper or a spoon, etc.) Only down side is when they would come make up the rooms - I stayed there for a week and the first few days they did a great job resetting the room, but halfway through the week they would just leave beds unmade and just leave a stack of new towels. Not a deal breaker, but a bit of a bummer. Breakfast had a lot of variety & was enjoyable.

Good breakfast, nice wait staff. Our tour stayed one night. We appreciated the location, close to everything we saw that day. The room smelled, even though there was a sign in the room that said $1,000 fine for smoking. Other people had the same issue. We never got the a/c to work either, just the fan. Other people in our group had the same issue. But mattresses were nice, the room was clean. For one quick night the consensus was it was good enough.

We had a very big room with Mountain view and comfortable queen beds. Not sure how this will develop once the construction work has finished across the street. The airconditioning was set to 18 but it never got below 23 in 3 days. The movement light above the fridge was annoying at night, so fortunately the mechanic fixed it. Breakfast was ok but not great. We loved the lobby bar though. The main attractions and restaurants are 5-25 min walk. One morning the shower was too hot to shower underneath.
