Don't stay here if you need a place to sleep. There is no electric kettle in the room. There is no mini fridge. There is no hairdryer in the bathroom. There is no electrical socket in the bathroom. There is no one at the reception desk in the evening. When there is personnel in the reception, they don't see you and greet you. Just so you know, you don't get a room key, you get a password. The duvet/bedsheets were dirty. This hotel could use vending machines with food, coffee, and hot water. There are inappropriate, sexually explicit posters hanging in the breakfast area. It's not kid-friendly. Their website says: "You can either choose a room with view on the famous Jomfru Ane Gade or a room in the center of the hotel for some peace and quiet." "Peace and quiet"? That's the last thing you'll get. False advertising! I stayed in room 211, which was away from the street. I cannot imagine how loud it must be for guests facing Jomfru Ane Gade. Imagine a screaming competition between drunk people and seagulls. Prepare to be woken up at 4:00 a.m. by drunk people smashing things, even on a Wednesday. Don't stay here if you need a place to sleep. They provide earplugs, but this seems like a poor location for a hotel. This review may seem harsh, but if I can't use a hotel for its intended purpose, what's the point?

The most important thing to provide in a hotel is a good nights sleep, something you will not get here. We were not bothered by the party street outside, but by other guests talking and making noise. Our rooms window faced the breakfast room which meant that people started the coffee machine at 6.30 in the morning. The rooms have no aircon so it was quite sweaty. I do not however agree with others when it comes to cleanliness, it was quite ok. And the receptionist was friendly and helpfull. So staff gets 4 stars. Service gets 1 star as there are no services. No staff after 9 PM, no luggageroom, no ac, nothing.

The rooms are small and warm as windows are opened into the breakfast area. Very thin walls, normal conversation is heard between rooms. You'll need earplugs for the Friday and Saturday party nights.
