We had our wedding at Danesfield House Hotel & Spa, and it was absolutely perfect. The venue is stunning, the rooms are elegant and clean (we stayed for two nights with our guests), and the food was truly exceptional. Our wedding coordinator, Vicki Norris, was amazing – calm, professional, and so helpful with every detail, from the ceremony to the champagne tower. But it’s not just a great wedding venue – it’s also a wonderful hotel to stay at. The spa is fantastic, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the whole place feels warm and welcoming. You really feel at home in a very special setting. Highly recommend – whether you’re planning a wedding or just looking for a relaxing countryside escape.

Afternoon tea (no champagne). Your chefs need commending. Your staff need commending (for being responsive and polite and kind). The room and seating very good. I pray you do not radically renovate into an overpriced android hotel seen everywhere and void of character. Please keep your target clients as they are and the afternoon tea price point as is. The hotel retains so much character as is. Well done.

First time visit for impromptu get away with my wife - I love the Thames valley in this area - and have driven past many times - the location is stunning - the gardens and sweeping view of the Thames make this a unique and special place. The building is imposing and architecturally interesting. The interior is attractive but for me is a little heavy in the reproduction furniture and art. We were very happy with our room - it was the basic option yet still very spacious. The spa and pool were a highlight and well set out. The dining options were pretty good and the food tasty but the prices are a little punchy for what you get. I have to say our lemon curd desert was excellent. The waiting and desk staff are warm and friendly - maybe just try and relax a little more - personally I’m less keen on formal service - but everyone way lovely nevertheless. Overall - this is a magical location - it just needs to have a few more affordable dining options for those that don’t want to break the bank to be viable for a larger family group.
