Dar al Sultan

We spent several days here - and felt like we had stepped back in time! The Riad was wonderfully decorated, beautifully run oasis! Go for the King room with the private roof top terrace - a relaxing end to our day before heading out for a late dinner! I'd echo the advice about arranging your first arrival, but it was easy after that with good lighting at night! A great location - the city was very walkable. We also arranged a day trip and it was great too!

Cannot fault this place. Excellent location, great staff and delicious breakfast. The room was immaculate and tidied and replenished each day.

What a Beautiful place, The inner duel courtyard is a haven of tranquility with its romanesque plunge pool and beautiful plantings, The inner pool . the arabesque. the decor was all breathtaking. Small songbirds flew in and out of the Riad, a charm indeed. the Bedroom was clean with crisp white sheets and duvets and the bathroom was also clean with a good shower and lovely towels, Coming down to breakfast the table was beautifully laid, and every thing was homemade, including the marmalade and bread, the coffee was perfect and the little tarts were delicious, as was the homemade curd, The lane was free of motorcycles although you are still actually in the Medina proper Riad Dar al Sultan is a hidden, very hidden, gem, with a nice ambiance and solitude that might take most by surprise. the Owner was fantastic, very helpful, and the staff were great, helpful and relaxing, Great place, really great place
