Dar atlas

Just came back from a great stay here. Imane was a lovely host, offering advice and the offer of tours with no hard sell. The room was great and the views from the rooftop terrace are stunning. It's perfectly located walking distance to the main points if the Medina, including places to get taxis. At the same time it was just a couple of streets away from the business which made it a very tranquil retreat at bed time. It was also great to have a front door key, I know some Dars and Riads prefer you to knock every time to be let in, but I appreciated the freedom to come back and forth without feeling like I was interrupting anyone's day. A great experience overall! We've been helped along every step of the way in our first visit to Fez and this can't be understated in just how useful it's been. The only somewhat sour note is related to the age of the building we stayed in, but it's nothing major (and nothing related to this establishment in particular but rather the whole Medina) and in no way capable of ruining the experience.

I loved this riad and God willing will stay here again. The best part was host Imane, who is a born host and whose care and concern made this trip much easier. She's quick to respond to messages and will do her best to help you out in any way she can. Breakfasts (made by Imane) were delicious, my room was spacious, comfortable, and climate-controlled, there was plenty of hot water in the bathroom, and the riad itself is in an excellent location for exploring the medina. NOTE: the sign above the short passageway to the front door says "Dar Rumi," the former name of the riad. But if you see that sign you're in the right place.
