Dar Chibania

What an amazing place! A hidden gem! It’s like a fairytale book, every little corner offers you a story, it’s spacious, has an amazing character, so many places you can chill, loose yourself, explore! You can spend a week and you won’t get bored of it! It has so much to offer! The decor is amazing, the rooftop terrace is amazing! It’s just brilliant! It is a 15-20 mins walk from the main squares but honestly it’s a great experience to walk through the local market. For luggage is super easy as it’s only 2-3 mins walk from where the taxi drops you off. For us was a perfect location, great experience, it has a WOW effect, and you can chill and relax. Dinner was nice! Staff members are absolutely fantastic Pictures can’t justify its beauty, will highly recommend!! We stayed for 3 nights we wished we stayed longer.

Dear Isabelle and Dar Chibania team, Thank you very much for a wonderful 5 days in your incredible Riad, so beautifully put together with great details wherever you looked. The rooms were all beautiful different and original in their own way, and under the "boho chic" look was real quality, modern equipment, plenty of hot water etc... With twenty friends and family we rented the whole Riad and everyone in the staff was attentive whilst discrete at the same time, and the food on breakfast and dinner was super fresh. Special mention to the huge terrace with views across Marrakesh to the mountains, however I will keep my best memory of sitting by the fire late at night in the very |early 1900's living room telling stories with friends. Again congrats and thank you, we couldn't have hoped for a better time O & O

Authentic & Beautiful, but with a Few Drawbacks Our stay at Dar Chibania Riad was a unique experience. The Riad itself is stunning – incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated, and full of intricate details that make it feel like a hidden gem. However, our room had a noticeable musty smell, which was unfortunate, though it was still very tastefully furnished. One thing to keep in mind is that the location is a bit off the beaten path. It’s about a 30-minute walk to the main square, which we actually enjoyed, as it allowed us to experience a quieter side of Marrakech. However, on the way back, we did get lost—even though I usually have a great sense of direction! Because of this, I’d say this Riad is best suited for travelers who have already been to Marrakech before. For first-time visitors, navigating the area might feel a bit overwhelming. The staff was absolutely lovely—attentive, warm, and always eager to help. The French owners were also very kind and even helped us carry our luggage to the taxi—but only because we had booked directly through the Riad. Otherwise, we would have had to carry everything ourselves for about five minutes, which could have been tricky with lots of bags. We also had dinner at the Riad, and it was delicious—a wonderful home-cooked meal. However, the temperature inside was quite chilly. The heating in the rooms was only partially functional, and we often had to wear jackets both indoors and outdoors during breakfast and dinner. The fireplace didn’t provide much warmth, and while they did have heating lamps, they were unfortunately not turned on. Overall, Dar Chibania is a beautiful and peaceful retreat with wonderful hospitality, but it might not be the best choice for first-time visitors to Marrakech or for those traveling in the colder months. That said, we truly appreciated the atmosphere and kindness of the staff, and for experienced travelers who enjoy a quieter setting, it could be a great fit!
