Very nice Riad close to the see side. The food was here very, very excellent!!!! The service in the morning was also exceptional good. Very friendly management. We recommend to stay there and will book it again when we are in Rabat. In winter almost all Riads are cold during the night - this one was a very nice surprise.
Location + Staff = 👌🏽 A 10-minute walk to the Kasbah, 20-minute walk to the train station and lots of food choices in the nearby market that’s literally a 2-3 minute walk away makes Dar Maysanne a perfect spot to stay in Rabat. What we especially appreciated was the all-female staff who were generous, sweet and made us feel at home. Their breakfast was a perfect amount with a good variety of breads, jams, butter, cheese, choice of coffee or mint tea, fresh orange juice, fresh fruit, incredibly delicious yogurt and granola (which they make themselves) and you can always ask for eggs your way. They did pick us up from the train station and although you’ll pay about 10Euros (100 Dirhams), it might be worth it as the Dar is located on Rue Farhan Khechan, a bit tucked behind Avenue Laalou and not all taxi drivers may know where to go (unless you show them the map and can guide them a bit). But a regular taxi (Rabat has blue taxis) from the train station should cost you 10-20 Dirhams. They have three-four levels of terraces and patios (watch out for one or two steep steps) that are great for hanging out including a covered area with a TV and movies. Beer and wine are not always available so you may have to request it ahead of time. The place was clean overall, rooms were equipped with space heaters and were nicely decorated and furnished (stayed in the Junior Suite named L’Amante where the bed could have been softer and comfier and hopefully they’ll change this as I told staff our sleep wasn’t that great). Regardless, we are happy we chose Dar Maysanne in Rabat! Good to know: only accepts cash (Euros or Dirhams) or money transfers, no credit cards. There’s a nightly tax of 4 Euros per person per night that will be added at the end of your stay.
3 stars as rooms has no door locks so no safety, had two rooms both without locks. No Aircon, broken floor tiles every where, seems like it needs maintenance, Nasreen exceeds in hospitality and can not be more. Her service was fantastic.
