Review about the terrace (not hotel) - over priced - Chocolat chaud had no chocolate in it. Milk + powder - Coffee doesn’t come with water. You have to order it separately. - Their most expensive smoothie (Smoothie du jour) was a bit of peach, orange and lots of water (tasteless) and that was 100Dh Staff were nice and the view is decent but their drinks are a disaster
I visited this rooftop expecting a nice atmosphere and decent service, but it was a letdown from start to finish. The menu is limited and uninspired, nothing that stands out or justifies the prices. Worse, the place is clearly neglected. The chairs are literally torn open (see photo), and it makes you wonder about the cleanliness and upkeep of the whole place. They served the drinks without any coasters, straws, or even a napkin on the side, just a bare glass on a stained marble table. For a venue that presents itself as classy or premium, this was far from it. Sadly, I won’t be returning or recommending this spot to anyone.
I booked a tea time experience in February for the experience to take place in April (cost is approximately $170 USD - not cheap). My booking was confirmed by the hotel in an email soon after the booking was made. I received no further communications from the hotel regarding my booking and expected that everything was in order. The day of our tea time booking it rained in Fes, however I received no email or phone call from the hotel concerning our booking, so I assumed that the experience was taking place. You’d expect that a four star hotel providing such an expensive experience/service would communicate appropriately with their guests. We arrived at the hotel and immediately upon arrival the doorman was shocked to hear we had a tea time booking. He escorted us to the two women working at the reception. They were shocked to hear about the booking as well. They advised that the tea time is not going to take place because it rained and they can accommodate us for dinner. I refused as we already had dinner and we booked the experience and I was not going to pay $170 for dinner. The problem isn’t that the tea time was cancelled - the problem is that they were unaware that I had a booking and how shocked everyone was. I was met with hostility by one specific woman working at reception that was very annoyed that I didnt want the dinner and I wanted a refund. I booked for a specific service at a four star hotel and paid a decent amount, the least the hotel can do is coordinate and communicate with their guests and not do a run around when someone walks through the doors. You’d expect such a high end hotel to have it all together but unfortunately they do not. They agreed to refund me and took my credit card to process the refund but not shockingly I still haven’t received the refund and it’s been a week. (This is not normal timeline) I have to dispute this with my credit card company. I do not recommend making any advance booking at this hotel. Their reception also needs proper training to deal with customers and treat them kindly. I was not upset that my tea time was cancelled because I completely understood the reasoning behind it, I was upset that I received no update but they didn’t even know it was booked and never apologized and instead treated me like I was a problem because I wanted a refund for something that was not taking place. Absolutely ridiculous. I have many friends and family that travel to Fes and I will continually put it out there and social media how this specific hotel responds and treats their customers.
