We did not stay in a hotel, but we visited the restaurant on many occasions during our vacation in Hintersee, and it was wonderful. The service and the meals were excellent. Breakfast choices were extensive: we loved the yogurt, the great muesli/granola selection, and the omelets made to order. The coffee was excellent, and they had a wide selection of teas. Dinner was also great: we enjoyed the deer entrée, schnitzel, and the delicious desserts. Overall, it was a great experience. The restaurant caters primarily to hotel guests, so if you're not staying there, it's advisable to RSVP as they were full on some days.
Great food and friendly staff! A must if you are in the area
We came for dinner to the restaurant - it was quite disappointing. The food was average at best, I got Seibling with risotto - honestly, worst risotto I've ever had. Super liquidy, the parm was put on one side, hidden under the mangold and the fish. The rest of the group were not impressed with their food either. The service was super slow, and we were with kids and eager to eat & leave. They have a good unfiltered beer (aka Zwickle).
