We hosted our wedding at The Daxton and it's safe to say that this place is the best of the best. We fell in love with the modern, chic charm of The Daxton years ago, but working directly with Caroline, their senior catering sales manager, to plan our wedding, only added to the magic. Caroline was professional, thoughtful, and incredibly responsive from day one. She helped bring our vision to life with ease and always made us feel like a priority. Every detail, from the stunning ballroom setup to the impeccable food and seamless service, exceeded our expectations. Our guests are still raving about the food and the experience, and we feel so grateful to have chosen The Daxton for the most important weekend of our lives.

The Daxton Hotel in Birmingham is truly in a league of its own. From the moment you arrive, you feel the energy. It is modern, stylish and genuinely welcoming without being over the top. The entire space is curated with purpose, making you want to settle in and enjoy every detail. The rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully designed. It feels like a true upgrade from the usual. Everything is high quality, from the linens to the amenities. The little touches remind you that they have thought of everything to make your stay feel special. The team here deserves real credit. The service strikes the right balance between polished and personable. Every interaction was handled with care and attention, and you can tell they take pride in making guests feel at home. The restaurant and bar are excellent. The food is fresh, creative and well-executed, and the atmosphere encourages you to relax and linger without feeling rushed. The location is ideal. You can step right out into downtown Birmingham, walk to local shops, cafés and galleries, then return to a space that feels like your own private retreat.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the service at this hotel bar was genuinely unacceptable. The bartenders were eye-rolling, dismissive, and carried an attitude completely unfit for any hospitality setting. If you’re going to refuse service to someone, at least communicate it clearly—instead of passively cutting off the entire group without a word. It was confusing, disrespectful, and frankly, immature. This is a hotel bar—not some upscale or exclusive venue. Act accordingly. Guests deserve basic professionalism and clear communication. Sadly, both were lacking here.
