Days Hotel by Wyndham Istanbul Maltepe

Room was beautiful and staff were lovely and helpful. It's right next to a train station making it very convenient for travelling around Istanbul. Would definitely stay here again!

Clean and quiet hotel with a friendly and helpful staff and good location. 2-3 min walk from Gülsuyu m.station (exit2). First room I got, smelled like an ashtray (some customers don't follow restrictions) but I was offered another one right away. It was a bit smaller but doable. I was reading previous reviews and couldn’t help but laugh. Either Expedia gave me an incredible deal, or the five-star reviews are completely fake! I paid 180 euros for two nights without breakfast and was given the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in. When I complained, I was told that this was the room category I had booked. Was replaced with a better one but the bitter taste remained. While I don’t mind the interior design – it’s actually very nice – I wasn’t able to try the food because it’s overpriced. Additionally, since I visited during the winter, the hotel had very few guests, so I couldn’t trust the quality or freshness of the food. To top it off, every time I leave and return, I notice the restaurant manager giving me strange looks. At 90 euros per night during winter, with no nearby attractions, this hotel feels like a rip-off! Unfortunately, this has been part of my ongoing bad experiences with hotels in Istanbul.
