Room was clean and as described. Comfy beds and pillows. We were allowed to check in early for a modest fee. Lots within a short distance - dollar store, coffee, stores and restaurants as well as a waterfall. The pool was nice but cold, hot tub jets did not work but the sauna is roomy and lovely. Vending machines, a small lounge and washrooms on the ground floor are all great touches. Front desk staff were great. We did not interact with other staff. Breakfast room is small and crowded (Sunday of a long weekend, we went when they first opened). Coffee was extremely hot, great choice of foods and a waffle maker that enamored an American Family for an hour while the dad commanded it and blocked anyone else from using it. (Not the hotels fault obviously - it was entertaining to watch, but i think upset other guests) A taxi to old Quebec city is about $60.

The hotel is getting a little run down. The air conditioning in our room didn't work , BIG disappointment. The floor was patched with tape. The pool is nice although the Sauna was rather cool. The breakfast is nice with real fruit .

The worst part? The $250 surprise charge no one warned us about. Check-in was already a mess. The guy barely spoke English and wasn’t exactly welcoming to non-French speakers. But we were tired, so we just wanted to get to our room. Big mistake. The room was as plain as plain gets, and the bathroom? Let’s just say it hadn’t seen proper cleaning in a while. Nothing felt fresh. Nothing felt right. But here’s where it gets shady: When we arrived, the front desk guy quietly slid a folded paper across the counter. He asked for my car plate number and a signature. I thought it was just a basic parking form. He didn’t say a word about what it actually was. After checkout, I saw a $250 charge on my card. Turns out, the back side of that folded paper — which I never unfolded because I was tired and trusting — was actually a hidden invoice with all kinds of extra fees. No one explained it. No one warned us. Just a quiet, sneaky charge. If you enjoy confusion, dirty washrooms, and surprise charges… go ahead. Otherwise, avoid this place. Seriously.
