What a beautiful place, perfectly located in the centre of town. Next to one of the most beautiful churches in SA. Walking distance from restaurants. The host is so sweet and will always go the extra mile! Breakfast was amazing. Lovely and spacious rooms, with a balcony view. And we loved being able to take our dog with. I would go back any day!

we never planned to eat at this place as others were closed due to the low season. last resort we walked into a quiet restaurant. none of the tables were occupied. apprehensive we ordered and it was amazing! beautiful fire place and KUDU meat was great. we even had the bone marrow, which we never ever tried even tho our home town has our famous bone soup, a Malay dish

It was a shocking experience. The 1st wine chosen was "out of stock" On a Friday night with about 6 tables - really. Then the waiter disappeared for 20 minutes. The starter of gnocchi was fine and the special salad well appreciated but to be told there was already ground peper on the plate therfore no more will be provided is not acceptable. About 90 minutes later, remember there were only 9 of us in the restaurant the main meal arrived. The kudu was requested rare. Also not allowed by the chef and so we received well done steak that would have suited my shoe better. Not even sure it was venison. We also ordered rare fillet. The piece we received looked like it had been in a micro wave to defrost and was over done and tasteless. Estimate 150gsm. The butternut side was the same as the gnocchi starter. The table next to us also ordered fillet. Their piece looked awesome. Twice the size, rare in centre and flowing juices. Feedback to the chef fell on deaf ears as there was no response or reaction to our comments. Each steak R205. Only in Norway do you pay more for less. I am afraid. No second chances guys. Shocking.
