De France by Thermalhotels

The hotel look old outside but lucky the interior is clean and newly renovated . There are many road construction around the hotel now. 10 minutes walking distance to coop supermarket

Despite many bad reviews of the hotel we still decided to book a room and stay overnight. We were not disappointed. Staff was very friendly and helpful from the very beginning - our room was not ready when we arrived but we were immediately offered a late check out the next day. The room was spacious and clean, with comfy bed and big bathroom. We were traveling with a 1-year-old and requested a baby bed. It was not prepared (instead we've got a regular extra bed) but after a quick call to the reception the problem was quickly fixed and the housekeeping staff delivered the cot to our room. We decided not to have dinner at the hotel but their breakfast the next day was great. Wide variety of different things and everything seemed fresh and of decent quality. When comes to amenities - the hotel pool could use a bit of a makeover. It was a bit dated and used. The water was very relaxing tho. They have their own connection to the thermal waters so we didn't even have to go to the main baths for a dip. One thing I would point out to the coming guests - for check in and reception you have to go to the main building of Thermalhotels across the street - De France doesn't have their own desk which would be good to know ahead of our arrival. Also pools are in the main building, but it's conveniently connected all together with underground tunnels. Overall i would recommend the hotel and would probably come back!

Hot and cold water tap is mixed up. Only 1 complimentary bottle of water for 2 guests. Requested for another bottle, reception say restaurant is closed. Weird, like the restaurant cook water? Room smell like old carpet.
