A very nice hotel with great rooms. A wonderful breakfast on tiered trays with a wide selection, including vegetarian options. A quiet location, a good starting point for some very nice excursions. The Genügenkarte (pleasure card) even offers cheaper entry. Highly recommended! Top!

...there's still room for improvement here. Architecturally, the design is beautiful, the rooms and bathrooms are top-notch, and good solutions have also been found for the air conditioning in the suites. The building structure is old, and this can't be completely hidden, or rather, it would require a bit more attention. In the hallways, you can smell the damp cellar; woodlice and silverfish are also active in the suites, as are the occasional ant colony. Our biggest criticism, however, concerns the service: putting the cake stand on the table and asking for egg dishes is one thing; forgetting the pastries can happen, but putting the egg dishes on the table upon request, not having any bread or pastries, and having to bake them first, thus leaving the guest sitting for a good 10 minutes until the eggs are completely cold, and then disappearing again with a terse "but now," is another. It was obvious that the hotel was fully booked and the groups arrived for breakfast almost at the same time – the uncleared tables, the missing coffee utensils, etc., told the story quite well. And breakfast on day two: breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m., and by 7:50 a.m., the preparations, including setting the table, were still not finished. Time pressure then also affects the quality – even two soft-boiled eggs become a real challenge. It's a shame – the hotel promises more than the staff can deliver.
