We were a bit disappointed with our stay here. The noise in the room associated with turning on any taps or flushing the toilet is unbearable. The walls shake and it completely disrupts your stay. It is clear that the piping needs to be fully replaced. We also found the shower drain needed a deep clean and the towels provided were thin and threadbare. Overall, the rooms were starting to show their age and a deep clean and refresh is needed. Aside from those points, the service was extremely friendly and the bed was comfortable. Fresh orange juice at breakfast was much appreciated, although the range and speed of replenishing items could have been improved. We felt the cost/value ratio of this property didn't meet our expectations and we would not stay here again.

Very mixed feelings about this hotel. My wife and I booked 3 nights here due to the high ratings and mostly good reviews but I feel different. Check-in was easy and smooth and the receptionist was friendly. There are no elevators here so she offered to help us carry our luggage. I had her carry my wife’s luggage while I carried my own, no big deal as we were on the second floor. I think we may have gotten the worst room in the hotel, as we were adjacent to the breakfast area and right beside the cleaning/dish washing room. I highly recommend you stay away from room #5. Breakfast starts at 8am and prior to that all we can hear is the clinging and clanging of dishes, silverware and guests coming and going. As soon as we entered the room we could smell a stench, kind of like an old pipe sewage smell and the heat was blasting which didn’t help. We immediately opened both windows hoping to clear the smell. It helped a bit but the smell would just come back. I think it was coming from the bathroom and the old pipes. Our balcony view was directly at balconies of other buildings, roof of businesses below and air conditioning units which were loud as hell. I gave 2 stars and not 1 as the location is pretty good. Service was also pretty good. Will not book this hotel again.

Edit: Walls are super thin. I was woken up at 6am from the cleaning crew in the room next door. You can hear everything including everyone in the hallways. I was over 4 doors down from the breakfast area and could hear silverware rattling as if the dining area was in my hotel room. The water pump and plumbing system is distractingly noisy and does shake the entire building. Prior Review: Haven't even showed up yet and they've already disappointed me. I booked my room months in advance and it wasn't cheap but they just sent me a message the day before arriving saying it's not available. Gave me a 20 euro credit which is laughable. I could have stayed ANYWHERE in lisbon and now i'm screwed in a room i don't want to be in and have to unpack and repack to switch rooms. I AM NOT HAPPY! DO NOT STAY HERE! Believe the 1 star reviews, they're not wrong. Completely screwed me to make sure i couldn't continue with my free cancellation, and now i'm stuck with a downgraded room.
