Decoy Barn

Well where to start…..John & Suzanne are the most decent, delightful, caring couple you could wish to meet in this industry. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them & in fact they went out of their way to make sure that mine & my husband’s stay was one to remember. They have a beautiful home along with a wonderful friendly dog called Buddy who’s totally adorable & so friendly towards everyone he meets. John was a mindful of information about where to go, what to do & how to get there. What he doesn’t know probably isn’t worth knowing. Whilst Suzanne has to be of the best Chiefs that’s ever cooked a breakfast, her food was amazing & cooked to perfection. They cater for nearly everything you could want & even go that extra mile to put fresh milk in your room each day (lovely touch thank you guys) as this made my coffees much better. There is even a table & chairs outside your room to rest & enjoy a cuppa etc outside in the sunshine 🌞 (when you get some 😂). I am severely disabled & nothing was too much trouble for them to make my stay even better. Our daughter & her boyfriend are hoping to visit in September this year as we’ve told them how beautiful it is & how lovely John, Suzanne & Buddy are. We hope to go back ourselves (if they’ll have us) later this year or next year definitely 💯 as we both loved the rest & relaxing atmosphere they create there. We booked for one night on 11.7.25. What a pleasant surprise we had. Its a wonderful b&b. Looking forward to Sept when we would like to go back for a longer stay. Breakfast was well worth the extra and cooked and presented beautifully. Nothing was too much trouble and the hosts were brilliant in all areas. Lovely tea and cakes upon our arrival. Gardens well kept and very peaceful.

Immaculately kept, very comfortable with very friendly and helpful hosts. I absolutely loved this place, a real gem. Very pretty garden and terrace just outside the room, Ideal for reading and relaxing. Breakfast was lovely too! Very highly recommend!
