We had a lovely time here, would highly recommend if you’re missing Japan and want a relaxing get away! The meals were delicious, filling and were healthy. We also appreciated staff member, Shiona’s hospitality and attention to detail. We would come again!

We tried the restaurant for the first time, and the reviews didn’t lie — this Japanese cuisine is the best in Daylesford! You truly feel like you’ve been transported to Japan. The space is immaculately clean with a wonderful ambiance. The five-course menu is second to none — every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The staff were incredibly attentive, and to top it off, the chef came out after our meal to ask for our thoughts, which made the experience even more special. We’ll definitely be back soon! We booked this beautiful Japanese wellness retreat with friends over the long weekend and were really looking forward to a relaxing experience. Two of our friends tried the aromatherapy and Shiatsu massages, but unfortunately, both felt the treatments didn’t quite meet expectations, especially for the price. One of them shared that during the Shiatsu session, the therapist frequently placed stones on her body, which disrupted the flow of the massage. She found the approach very different from other Shiatsu treatments she’s had — with more focus on stone placement and stretching rather than relieving muscle tension. Since she’s already quite flexible, the stretching didn’t add much benefit, and overall, the session felt underwhelming. My partner and I booked a private bath, which was absolutely beautiful. The setting was peaceful, quiet, and captured a serene Japanese Zen atmosphere perfectly. The only downside was that the water wasn’t hot enough, and there didn’t seem to be an option to adjust the temperature or add more hot water, which was a bit disappointing.
