Reviewing as a pub. Great beer selection. Lucky to have the OH bitter!! Fantastic atmosphere, proper old pub, excellent bands and outstanding pizzas. Raw, real and simply a fave.
Service was amazing! The head chef James really looked after us when we needed some pizzas delivered and went above and beyond to make sure we got them on time. Their vegan pizzas were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. We got the vego supreme with vegan pesto, mushroom, garlic potato and the pumpkin with vegan feta. All were so amazing, it was honestly so hard to pick a favourite! Over 25 people tried them with us and they were raving about them and couldn’t believe they were all vegan. 100% would recommend!
The staff here are super friendly and helpful, they can get busy when the pub is busy so sometimes you are waiting for a bit but they are working hard to get to everyone. room was cozy, i will say it was kinda freezing so we had the space heater going all night and it took up one of the only outlets along with the lamp. beds were comfy and room was clean. bathrooms were decent. There is a lot of noise from the bar and the walls are thin so other people talking in rooms can be heard as well. it is to be expected because it’s an old building. that being said my friend and i enjoyed our time here, we were comfy and could walk to and from town with ease.
