Staff was nice and helpful. If the front desk ENG speakers are out, they'll do google translate. They were very responsive to emails during the months leading up to my stay. Air conditioners are very sensitive, so only run it on max volume and cool for a few hours to make the room cool then cut back to the low cool setting and not quite coldest on the temp control knob or unit will freeze up and not work at all. Their wifi barely works (think 5 seconds at a time between freezes if trying to watch a movie or video and significant wait times to websurf), so don't count on that at all. Some rooms (I stayed in 2) have very difficult to open doors; if this happens after you get the green light from dipping your key card, pull a quick up on the handle then down to open. If you need to add a day to your stay, do it ahead on the site you got good pricing on if you know in advance. I added mine at the desk and paid almost double than the website though which I booked it. Great location...so close to metro, shopping, pharmacies, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. I heard to be careful walking alone at night and to keep your wallet & phone in front pockets.
The hotel is not good at all. The bath was nasty. The AC was old-fashioned. The Remote control was not working. The keys did not work at all. The elevators are too slow and there is too much waiting time. The area is not one of the best, but I understand it is downtown. But at least the service could be better
I was very excited to stay here. I was sadly disappointed with the hotel in many ways. As a 4 star, I expected more. Some positives: overall hotel staff were nice, universal outlets, and good restaurants nearby. Negatives: worst WiFi out of any hotel in São Paulo I’ve been to. Couldn’t get any work done on my computer. They didn’t even provide free water bottles, a working fridge, or hand lotion. The area is a bit unsafe so I was surprised they didn’t have the elevators be secured with room card. Carpets were extremely dirty, bugs in the bathroom, stained and uncomfortable beds. Window curtains were also stained. Didn’t like the breakfast. Overall expected much more, especially for the price.
