Delta Grandview Resort

While other reviews have been negative, I've found the staff extremely pleasant and accommodating. The condo unit we stayed in was very well appointed and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was well priced and quite good. And the pool/sauna were clean, warm, well maintained. The hot tub is broken, but they were very clear about that upon booking. I acknowledge the other reviews, but perhaps management has responded to the reviews and improved the service.

We went there in fall 2015. It's absolutely not how they portray it on the web. They took $500 security deposit on top of the actual charges, which they didn't return upon checkout and said it will be back into our account in 4-6 days from checkout. Suits are spacious and well furnished however it seemed like it ducts were not cleaned in years. Dirt and debris was making it hard to breath. My 2.5 months old baby was coughing all night and so was I. Since it was fall, we couldn't have opened the windows too. Couldn't wait to checkout. but again they withheld our $500 until few days from checkout. View and location is very fine. Restaurant on the lake nearby is great! -is what got my two stars.

Absolutely horrible experience. Some of the issues since check in include : 3 out of 4 tvs not working, ac broken, lightbulbs burned out not being replaced, 4 broken kitchen chairs, broken and jerry rigged kitchen table, leaking kitchen faucet, pool heater not working, spa/hot tub not working, tennis court full of weeds and no nets. For 3 thousand a week for a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom condo, it was a complete rip off. Final thing is a combination of management and owners of properties on the resort. The fact that the rental property is privately owned but maintained by Grandview was shocking as it limits the "help" they can give you. You are forced to sign the rental agreement before even seeing the unit which is just a shady business model. Overall our trip would have been ruined if not for the beauty of Algonquin Park so close to the resort. We will not being staying again and we warn potential renters to ask questions before checking in. Sad that such a resort has fallen so low from such a high standing as far as Muskoka elite resorts are concerned. RENTERS BEWARE!
