tl;dr - a wonderful place with great rooms and fantastic service that's worthy of two thumbs up. As a first time visitor in Vancouver, the hotel has shown me the beauty of Canadian hospitality and is serviced by an excellent team of hoteliers that has taken good care of me in my time here. The place is comparable to a 5* hotel in other countries and I am pleased to share that it's been nothing short of a great stay. While the location is slightly isolated from any stretches of restaurants nearby, it should not stop anyone from staying here as it is minutes drives away from other facilities around the area.
Definitely not a four-star hotel. While overall it is clean: Room is small and equipments all very old. The room ac is like ancient stuff hanging on the wall. Would considered this as a 3 star hotel but priced at 4 star range. Not recommended.
Stayed at Delta Hotels by Marriott Burnaby, and it was an utter disaster from start to finish. First room stank of mold, with zero bathroom supplies—not even the basics like a shower cap or soap. We requested a change and were moved two floors up. That room? Just a new set of problems. The AC was ridiculously loud, kicking in like a jet engine every time you start to fall asleep. The bed was stiff and lumpy, and we woke up with back pain and headaches from the combination of bad sleep and that obnoxious AC. For a Marriott-branded hotel, this is unacceptable. The shower flooded the bathroom, and water sprayed in every direction except where it’s supposed to. Slipped once and nearly fell. Only two towels again, and every call to the front desk went unanswered. We had to go down in person for every little thing—like it’s a self-service hostel, not a hotel. When we reported the flooding issue, housekeeping wiped the floor and said they’d tell the manager. Surprise—no follow-up, no care. The soap and shampoo dispensers are directly under the showerhead, so you’re guaranteed a blast of water trying to reach them. The toilet paper holder is comically far—you’d need freakishly long arms or risk making a mess. It’s like the bathroom was designed by someone who’s never used one. This place should not carry the Marriott name. Poor service, poor design, terrible sleep, and zero accountability. For the money, this felt like a scam. Do yourself a favor and stay literally anywhere else. Never again.
