We had a great stay at Delta Hotels Edinburgh. The location is very convenient—close to the airport and made for an easy early morning departure to the Isle of Skye. The staff were very accommodating and allowed us to drop off our luggage early in the morning, which made it easy to Uber into the city center for sightseeing. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh options to start the day right. Delta is a comfortable and practical choice for anyone flying in or out of Edinburgh or heading north for a road trip.

The gym and pool with sauna and steam room were great but closed too early. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was delicious. We had no difficulty parking a car in the lot. Our room included a mini fridge. They had flavored water in the lobby and a water refill station with sparkling or still water. Our room was fine, though stuffy despite opening the window.

Disappointing Stay – Definitely Not a 4-Star Experience My cousin booked three rooms for us from July 28 to August 2. When we arrived, only one room was ready. The other two (rooms 172, 174, and 356) were given to us later. Room 356 had no toilet paper, no hand soap, and no shower gel. I informed a staff member on our floor who noted the room number, but nothing was delivered. The next day, I had to go down to the reception and wait nearly 30 minutes just to collect the basic toiletries we should’ve had from the start. Even more frustrating — two days into our stay, the room was cleaned, but they still didn’t refill the hand wash, or shower gel. Completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one claiming to be four stars. One evening, after a long day out, we returned to find a water bottle placed next to the TV in our room. The concerning part? We had the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door. It’s still a mystery how someone entered, and it left us feeling uncomfortable. We went to the bar one night — it was average. Service wasn’t bad, and we ordered soups, bread, and olive oil. Nothing memorable. I’ve stayed in motels that are better run than this place. The only good thing I can say is that it’s conveniently located near a bus stop. If I return to Edinburgh, I definitely won’t be staying here again.
