We stayed at this hotel with a 4 month old baby and it was a great experience! The hotel accommodated everything we needed for the baby and went above and beyond to help. We never once felt out of place or that I was being a bother. They were able to put a microwave in the room, there was a kettle, they offered to provide a playpen (we brought our own), they kept our ice packs in the freezer so they were cold for transporting milk, and they brought a luggage cart up to the room when we were checking out to make it easier for us with the baby. The room was spacious so even with the play pen and a diaper changing area set up we still had lots of space to move around. The pool was fantastic and we were able to enjoy it with the baby (with the appropriate swim diaper and swimsuit). We were able to bring our stroller up to the pool area which made a huge difference when carrying the baby and all the needed items for swimming with a little one. There is Starbucks coffee at the coffee bar downstairs and many local coffee shops, restaurants and stores very close within walking distance. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel and would stay here even if we didn't have our child with us. The staff were amazing from beginning to end.
Our U18 soccer team stayed here for our final weekend of play as a team. The service at the front desk was fabulous throughout our stay (there were 50 or more of us). The pool area was fun when the girls had time between games to relax. The rooms were spacious and clean. The Team Room was free to use as long as we booked it and it was a great spot for a team movie night, parents playing cards, and hanging out. Dakota was great helping me secure the group booking and share the link with families. Rate was even reasonable for the e long weekend in Kamloops when there are so many teams looking for spaces to stay. Highly recommend. And I’m picky!
Disappointed During a Difficult Time We were recently forced to evacuate our home due to wildfires, with both Highway 97 and 97C closed. We made our way north to Kamloops under stressful circumstances and stayed at Delta Hotels Kamloops. When I explained that we were evacuees, I hoped the hotel might show some compassion by offering a better rate given the situation. Unfortunately, I was told there was nothing they could do, though they did waive the parking fee — a minimal gesture that did little to acknowledge the gravity of the situation. The room itself was overpriced for what we received. It was very small, the bathroom was cramped, and the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. For a hotel under the Marriott brand, I expected much better — especially as a long-time Gold Marriott Bonvoy member. This experience left me feeling deeply disappointed. At a time when we were looking for even a little understanding, we felt like just another booking. Marriott can and should do better.
