Fantastic location opposite train station and near all shops We were asked to move from 2 rooms to 1 due to some internal issue. The team gave us the penthouse and bent over backwards to make it as comfortable as they could for us, they added some treats. I personally wouldn't book a sofa bed for 2 persons but can't fault their service.

Edit: Just to add, really unprofessional for the hotel to stick the same copy and pasted reply to the reviews about this topic. Very unprofessional. Especially to the gentlemen who reviewed and is a Marriott Gold Member. Shows how they truly treat and care for people. Shocking. Original: After the Liverpool parade, the Lime Street station was shut almost all night, leaving thousands of us stranded in the city overnight with nowhere to go, as it rained on us and left us all freezing and damp. This Marriott hotel allowed some to loiter in the lobby and seek shelter in the warmth. Me and my girlfriend were here, sat on the floor near the toilets and conference rooms, along with a few more groups of people. We were over the moon that despite the awful situation we had somewhere to sit. Despite us just sitting, making no noise, and in no one's way, one of the staff came over and told us they had 'given us enough time' and we had to go. We had been sat on the floor for 25 minutes. They told us that residents were complaining, yet refused to elaborate or show us anyone who complained, and that they were a private business and we were not their problem. You would hope a hotel would at least provide some refuge for those stranded after a huge incident. Other buildings nearby were doing so but had filled up very quickly. The staff that told all those seeking shelter to go were very rude, condescending and quite frankly heartless. We told them to have some empathy and allow us to sit on the floor. No one was complaining, no one was bothered by us. There were families crying in this corridor. Overall a pretty disgusting showing by a hospitality business. In the worst of times, is it really more important to disregard those in need over profitability?

26 May 2025 Liverpool Parade Incident We went into the Marriott Hotel after finding Lime Street Station on Lockdown and asked if I could plug my mobile phone in to make an emergency call home to let my family know I was safe and well but one of our party had been injured in the incident, staff refused to afford this simple gesture of kindness. We were going to book this hotel for our Christmas Festivities but have decided against this booking due to the lack of compassion afforded us - poor show Marriott and Staff especially when so many restaurants, public houses etc. in the vicinity were affording such care and compassion.
