Delta Hotels by Marriott Vancouver Downtown Suites

We stayed with our sister who paid for the rooms with points. Rooms were very clean, and location was great, within walking distance of the downtown harbor and Gastown. Dinner was quite good at the hotel restaurant and convenient as we were tired the first day.

Room is in need of a refresh, but the bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom setup was awkward but the shower was hot, fantastic water pressure and we liked the shampoo. It was a very easy walk to the cruise port and from the train (took from airport) so the convenience is worth overlooking the worn furniture. I would stay again if I was in the area and the pricing was reasonable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is not a bad place to stay. It's clean, has many of the things you need in a hotel, room service, a restaurant and the staff are very helpful for special requests. But for the price, it's not nice-nice. Everything costs a little more than it should for what you get. Everyone wants a tip for just doing their job. It is a good location, close to several shops within walking distance and close to the cruise ship terminals. It seems relatively safe walking within a few blocks. It was quite noisy through out the evening and night outside with people and music and the hotel walls were not insulated enough to keep the noise out.
