We made a last-minute decision to stay at Delta Hotels by Marriott Manchester, and we’re so glad we did — we have absolutely no regrets! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff, who remained helpful and attentive throughout our entire stay. The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, just a 10–15 minute drive away, which made our travel plans so much easier and stress-free. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with a beautifully clean bathroom that made us feel right at home. One of the highlights was definitely the wellness facilities — we thoroughly enjoyed the large swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and even the plunge pool. It was the perfect way to unwind and relax. The standout moment of our visit, however, was our dining experience at Brasserie Blanc. The food, ambiance, and service were simply exceptional. We genuinely wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of what the hotel had to offer. We’re already hoping for another chance to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and high-quality stay in Manchester!
Convenient location and friendly staff at check-in Rooms are now quite dated and air conditioning didn’t work. The alternative fan provided in the room also quite poor so was sweltering even when it wasn’t a considerably hot day outside. Pool area is okay with good facilities.
Disappointing Experience at the Delta Marriott Manchester – Poor Value Executive Lounge My wife and I recently stayed at the Delta Marriott Hotel in Manchester and opted to pay extra for access to the Executive Lounge for both evening service and breakfast. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a highly disappointing experience that fell far short of Marriott’s usual standards. The lounge was due to open at 5:30PM, and we arrived right on time, the selection was minimal and underwhelming. It consisted of small dishes of beef chili con carne and cold, undercooked vegetable spring rolls. There was also a cheese board with a basic selection, as well as hummus with raw carrot and cucumber strips. While there was a self-service coffee and soft drinks machine, the beer tap dispensed only foam, and there was no staff available to resolve this issue. A single red and white wine were available, and although of acceptable quality, the overall food and drink offering lacked variety and value. Worryingly, all hot food items were served cold and did not meet the minimum hot-holding temperature of 63°C. This could be a serious food safety concern. If inspected by a local Environmental Health Officer, it’s likely the food would not meet compliance standards due to a lack of due diligence. Staff presence was minimal, with one person occasionally visible but frequently away, likely attending to other duties. As frequent Marriott guests, we’ve stayed at many locations, and sadly, this was the worst Executive Lounge experience we’ve had. By comparison, the Executive Lounge at the Marriott Hotel in Leeds is exceptional—with a broad range of high-quality foods and beverages, thoughtfully catering to international guests and those with specific dietary or religious requirements. At Delta Marriott Manchester, there was no indication of Halal or other dietary accommodations. We witnessed both Indian and African guests raising concerns with the kitchen manager, but no resolution was offered.
