Loved it here. Location, facilities and staff were all excellent! We enjoyed 5 nights here as Honeymooners. The adjacent restaurant with it's rooftop terrace was very enjoyable and offered some dramatic vistas of the coast. The town St Florent is also very beautiful and the near by region of Patrimonio has some lovely wineries.

Truly beautiful luxurious hotel. Owners are lovely. Truly welcoming and generous people. Excellent location walking distance to town. Attached restaurant is also very cool.

The start of our stay at what is meant to be a lovely seaside hotel was marred by the hotel's insistence that they could not assist us when our flight to Corsica was cancelled. Despite numerous emails and calls (95% of which went ignored and at some point resulted in them hanging up on us), the hotel would not budge on its non-refundable policy or offer a credit of some sort (in the way other hotels have, in our experience) for a situation that was wildly out of our control. Had a credit been offered, we would have returned for many more nights to the hotel. When we were finally put on a flight, the hotel would not respond to emails requesting their confirmation that they had not marked us as "no-show"; this was stressful in and of itself, but resulted in us having to call expedia, who had to assist in emailing the hotel and emphasising that we would turn up for only part of our stay and that the room was to be kept for us. The hotel had little sympathy for the fact that we were stuck in Italy, having taken a 17 hour journey to get to Europe to attend a wedding. When we finally made it to the hotel, we were hoping that the stay would make us forget about the initial crap experience in dealing with them beforehand. This was not to be. The hotel itself is, by Corsican standards, love.ly. We had the deluxe suite, which is well appointed, spacious and comfortable It is not, however, outstanding or worthy of the prices it charges. Housekeeping is hit and miss and expect the room to be dusty. While it is a five-star hotel, there is no turn-down service whatsoever. It is not particularly soundproof, so expect to be woken up in the morning (if you are on the ground floor, like we were) by the housekeeping's vacuum being run all over the floor in the room upstairs. The hotel uses metal keys and insists that everyone must drop them at reception upon leaving the hotel -- this would be absolutely fine, except that the hotel, which we understand only has approximately 20 rooms, clearly does not train its staff to remember who the guests are. Multiple times we had to tell the staff our room number in front of other guests (resulting in discomfort on our end at the lack of privacy) to get our key; multiple times we had to repeat our name and our room number loudly, particularly to the night staff, who clearly were not used to non-EU guests. There were other experiences which we would list if we could be bothered -- but we won't. The short of it is: stay here if your plans are unlikely to change (e.g. you are driving and taking the ferry to Corsica) as it is for the most part, lovely and a short walk to Saint Florent town. But don't expect particularly terrific service, or any flexibility on their part if you are experiencing an excessively stressful situation and need to change your plans.
