Der Ochsen

I visited here last summer with my husband and two children. It was conveniently located near Europa Park. The area around the hotel was quiet and there was a supermarket nearby, which was a great relief as we had children and needed to buy food. We booked for 3 nights and 4 days with breakfast only, but all the breakfasts were amazing and we enjoyed choosing different menus each time. They were the best breakfasts I have ever had. There is a kitchen in the room, and all the utensils necessary for cooking are provided. There is also a refrigerator and microwave, so we are very satisfied. It is clean and the children love it, and they have been talking about coming back here many times since they returned home. Finally, we would like to thank everyone at the hotel for being so kind to our children and us. We wish you all the best from Japan. We hope to use your service again!

We stayed for two nights at Der Ochsen and used it as our home-base for visiting Europa-Park. The apartments are amazing: very well equipped, spacious and comfortable. The only slight inconvenience was the fact that the roof window in the apartment’s upstairs hallway didn’t have any blinds, so if you’d like to leave the bedroom doors open during night make sure you’re an early riser, since the sun will shine bright early in the morning during summer. A special mention for the breakfast: it’s one of the nicest b&b breakfasts we’ve had until now, with plenty of choice and huge portions.

This is the best lodging location I’ve been in within Europe! Rooms are comfortable, living room and amenities are excellent, and the breakfast that comes with the room is fresh and immaculate. Fresh food from the farm made fresh to order is awesome! If you are going to Rulantica or Europa Park and would like a more affordable option this is the place. It’s worth way more than the price and the service is pristine. Very sweet ladies and everything of comfort you can think of you have within your apartment. Quality bose sound system, flat screen tv, a welcome fruit and snack basket, still and gas water daily, a Nespresso machine with many coffees/teas, and the list goes on. It’s a beautiful slice of heaven for a vacation spot. This picture is the ox breakfast freshly made with wild boar from the farm, fresh eggs, potatoes, etc all from the farm. Can’t beat this place!
