We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Derby Arms. It was a lovely pub so close to our cottage we stayed at so it was a perfect opportunity to try. We were served by a lady called Lisha for the evening and she was so lovely and patient as we asked her alot of questions / recommendations re the food. She recommended the cheese and onion pie and it did not disappoint. Service was fantastic, beautiful food and would definitely return. Thank you
What a stunning restaurant! We enjoyed an incredible meal featuring a seafood platter, a succulent burger, and a perfectly cooked gammon steak — every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The seafood was fresh and generously portioned, the burger was juicy and satisfying, and the gammon was tender with all the classic trimmings. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was absolutely top-notch — friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout. This place delivers on every level, from quality food to fantastic hospitality. A true gem, and we’ll definitely be coming back for more!
First time visiting this pub for the paella evening, which I had been looking forward to for a while. There was a choice of three different variations which all came with a glass of complimentary sangria. I opted for the seafood paella, as did my daughter. The sitting was a two hour slot which was plenty of time and we were able to get a second helping of paella and I had seafood again however, the chicken one did look very nice. The food was very tasty although not as strong in the salty seafood flavour that shellfish tends to give. So perfect for those who enjoy a milder seafood flavour. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and the chef cooking the paella was also lovely. Pleasant atmosphere in the pub and great location with plenty of parking. I would definitely like to return and see what their full menu has to offer.
