Designhotel am Stadtgarten

The hotel was good, and the staff were friendly. I asked for separate shampoo and conditioner because the all-in-one wasn’t good for my hair — they provided it, which I appreciated. However, there were no basic amenities in the room like a toothbrush or ladies’ kit. I think that’s normal in Germany, unfortunately. The breakfast was good! But we stayed for two nights and requested room cleaning — it wasn’t done properly. The internet was super bad and barely worked. We paid €19 extra for parking, which was okay. Some of the towels were not clean. Overall, an average experience.

Great hotel in a brilliant location just 10 minutes walk from the centre and attractions and 20 minutes walk from railway station. Good size rooms with cosy decor, great shower and comfy beds. The room could have been a bit cleaner. There was noticeable dust around the skirting boards.

The parking is convenient only if you have someone to go checkin and get an access card. Very little place to find street side parking. The rooms are very nice. As far as breakfast goes, you would be better walking to the daily market and eat there. The breakfast room is too small, the staff are poorly trained on maintaining a breakfast buffet. I observed one employee drop clean silverware on the floor, then pick it up and place it on the table for customer use. The morning breakfast room services the THREE large hotels the same street intersection, it should be at least 3 times bigger. And don’t order cocktails from the bar, the bartender doesn’t know how to make them correctly anyway.
