Desoto Tudor On Capitol Hill

I have traveled around the world and stayed at thousands of hotels and inns, and the DeSoto Tudor on Capitol Hill ranks among the best! My husband and I immediately felt at home from the moment we arrived. The space is amazing--an entire guest suite complete with a comfy bedroom, living room, kitchen, and, my favorite part, a private outdoor deck with a firepit, hot tub, and plenty of spots to relax in the sun or shade. Even better was the host themselves. Vincent goes out of his way to get to know each guest and make sure all of their needs are met, while both he and Kenneth are warm, welcoming, and great to chat with. To sum it all up: the location is terrific, breakfast is super tasty, the space is divine and the hosts are incredible. Book here on our next Salt Lake stay, you will not regret it!

Vincent and Ken's place felt like a home away from home! This was our first time visiting Salt Lake and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. We had the entire basement to ourselves with everything we needed, a living room, kitchen, bedroom, gym and lovely patio. Vincent was such a pleasant host and cooked us delicious breakfasts every morning, even accommodating me being gluten free (which I never expect but always appreciate!). They even gave us recommendations on what to do in the area. "Come as guests, leave as friends" - we can wait to return!

Our stay at the DeSoto Tudor Inn was not only the highlight of our trip to Utah this May, it was by far the best experience we’ve ever had! Upon greeting us at the door, Vincent’s genuine hospitality and humorous personality made us feel very welcomed, and the walk through his beautiful house to our suite made us really excited about our stay. The suite was like a 5-star hotel - from the decor (fresh tulips!) to the furnishings (amazingly comfortable bed and sofa) and the immaculate condition; what made it even better were the amenities throughout & a kitchen with a lot of snacks & various beverages. The guest doodles were fantastic and a great reflection of Vince and Ken’s incredible hospitality! We didn’t get to take advantage of the spa even though we really wanted to! Let me tell you, Vincent’s cook-to-order homemade breakfast is reason enough to stay here. I can go on and write a full-blown restaurant review - it was so delicious and professional-level cookery! Vincent also let us keep our luggage past our checkout time due to our train ride being late that night. When we got back to pick up our luggage, he offered us a glass of wine. We enjoyed the wine & the incredible view from their kitchen; best of all was the conversation and the company. We truly felt like we made a friend :) We also got to see Holey and Ida do some tricks 😄 We can’t wait to come back and will be telling all of our family & friends about the DeSoto Tudor Inn and its amazing hosts!
